Events
Special events and classes are scheduled throughout the year during group class times. These include playdowns (for children) or class concerts (for adults), and parents classes for families with Pre-Twinkle, Beginner and Intermediate level children.
Playdowns and Class Concerts
We will have three themed playdown sessions in the year during which all of the ensemble classes for children (Levels 1-4) combine to play together to play music, games, and other fun activities. In a playdown, all of the classes join together to play through all of the curriculum repertoire from most advanced to beginner, and the students join in for all of the pieces that they know, and listen to their peers play the ones that they have not yet learned.
The adult ensembles will meet three times a year for Class Concerts, where students will be given the opportunity to perform both solo and/or ensemble repertoire for each other in a relaxed setting.

Parent Classes
Select ensemble classes will be replaced by parent classes, held exclusively for parents, which provide an opportunity for teachers and parents to strengthen the learning environment at home, as well as to offer support and strategies for handling challenges that may arise along a child’s musical journey.
We hold three parent classes over the course of the year, for the following classes: Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.
