Group Classes

Weekly group classes are an integral part of our program and are organized by level:

• Pre-Twinkle (30 minutes)

• Level 1 (45 minutes)

• Level 2 (60 minutes)

• Level 3 (60 minutes)

• Adult (60  minutes)

 

Students work on technical skills, chamber and large ensemble music, and advanced students will have the opportunity to explore techniques in historical performance using period bows. Special workshops with guest teachers occasionally replace regular group classes where students have an opportunity to explore other genres, such as fiddle, improvisation, early music, and jazz. All groups meet three times a year for “Playdown” sessions to play music, games, and participate in other fun activities. ​
